Cooking Classes

The Laurel School of Music is all about learning - even if it means teaching something other than music.  Occasionally, the School offers classes that do not involve the discipline of music.  One such example of our non-music offerings is our cooking classes which feature a specific culinary skill or food.
Recently, on a quiet Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2011, we cleared the LSM classroom and set up our own kitchen stadium.  Mr. Al (Roda) taught a class of 5 adults and 2 children in the tasty and timeless craft of making Asian Eggrolls - specifically, Spring Rolls using Flour wrappers and Rice Paper wrappers.  "Chefs" were given enough ingredients to make up to 25 eggrolls.  Without doubt, the highlight of the afternoon was when "Chefs" got to eat the final product they had  just created.

The Laurel School of Music offers these and other classes teaching the art of Asian food such as noodle dishes (Filipino, Japanese, an Chinese); a variety of stir-fry vegetable dishes using a broad selection of sauces; and - an all-tmie favortie - vegetarian sushi.
If you would like to be informed directly when these classes are scheduled, kindly send an e-mail to aroda@laurelschoolofmusic.com and let us know that you would like to be on our "Cooking Class Notice list".
